District president of a former Congress Committee joins AAP

The Zila Parishad chairperson, Mandeep Kaur; former district president of the Congress Committee, Subhash Sood; and chairman of Block Samiti Khera, Gurmail Singh, along with other office bearers and Congress workers led by Fatehgarh Sahib AAP candidate Gurpreet Singh GP, joined the Aam Aadmi Party, dealing a serious blow to the Congress ahead of the upcoming general elections.

They were greeted and introduced to the party by Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema. He predicted a landslide victory for Gurpreet Singh, GP, in the Fatehgarh Sahib Parliament seat. This time, senior AAP leader Pardeep Malhotra, Bassi Pathana MLA Rupinder Singh Happy, and Fatehgarh Sahib MLA Lakhbir Singh Rai were among those in attendance.

In contrast, a number of families from Malko Majra village have joined the Congress in the presence of MP Dr. Amar Singh MP and former MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra, leaving the BJP.
