ED detains Kejriwal; Gopal Rai of the AAP demands a national demonstration against the BJP

Gopal Rai, the chairperson of the AAP’s Delhi branch, called for a countrywide demonstration against the BJP on Thursday in response to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s detention by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

According to Rai, Kejriwal’s detention is a “announcement of dictatorship” and the “murder of democracy”.

Kejriwal was detained by the ED on Thursday night in connection with a money laundering case involving excise laws, and he was brought to the agency’s headquarters here, according to sources.

Hours after the Delhi High Court denied to shield the AAP national convenor from any coercive action by the organization, the first arrest of a sitting chief minister took place.

“I call on my fellow citizens to demonstrate against this tyranny in front of BJP offices around the nation. The minister from Delhi said, “Tomorrow at 10 am, we will congregate at the AAP office and then stage a protest outside the BJP headquarters.”

“Anyone may be detained and have their voice silenced if Kejriwal can be arrested. Today is the first day of the war. He said, “Arvind Kejriwal is an idea, not a person.

“Since the formation of the INDIA bloc, the BJP believes it will only be able to secure 40 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, rather than 400,” said Rai.

He said that they are going after opposition leaders.

“They have gone beyond all bounds today. Tonight, each of you will return to your own house. I urge Delhiites to take up arms,” the minister said.
