ReportsThe timetable announcement for the 2024 General elections and numerous State Assemblies is set for Saturday, March 16, at 3 p.m., and the Election Commission of India (ECI) is getting ready for it. This important news will be presented live on many social media platforms at a press conference in New Delhi.

This week, the ECI conducted a thorough inspection of Jammu and Kashmir to wrap up its nationwide evaluation of vote readiness across all States. This painstaking study guarantees a smooth and equitable election process by making sure every facet of the electoral process is well considered and ready for.

Political parties from both national and regional backgrounds have begun announcing their candidates for the 543 parliamentary seats as the election clock approaches. Concurrently, the identities of eighty-two candidates from two lists have been made public by the Indian National Congress.

In a different event, the Election Commission of India (ECI) revealed information on electoral bonds it had obtained from the State Bank of India on March 14. It has also officially asked for the return of the documents related to the electoral bonds, which was first sent in sealed boxes or a sealed cover to the Supreme Court. This action demonstrates the ECI’s dedication to openness and compliance with the law when it comes to funding elections.
