Ex-MLA Dalvir Singh Goldy of Dhuri claims the Punjab government is harassing him by employing VB

Dalvir Singh Goldy, a former Congress MLA from Dhuri, has accused the AAP administration of smearing and intimidating him via the Vigilance Bureau (VB) in an attempt to keep him from running in the next Lok Sabha elections from the Sangrur parliamentary seat. Bhagwant Mann is the Dhuri-based AAP MLA.

“I have been called to the VB’s office here on multiple occasions in an apparent attempt to coerce me into not running for the Lok Sabha from Sangrur,” said Goldy. He came to the VB office today to turn up documents pertaining to certain queries posed by the former.

In March 2022, Goldy ran unsuccessfully for Congress in the assembly election from Dhuri. In June 2022, she ran unsuccessfully for the Lok Sabha in a byelection from the Sangrur Lok Sabha seat.
