Following a disagreement with staff members, Air India deboards a female passenger at the Delhi airport

After a disagreement with cabin crew members this week, a female business class customer on an Air India trip to London was deboarded at the Delhi airport.

According to those with knowledge, the event occurred on March 5 on aircraft AI 161, and the person engaged was a prominent business leader.

An Air India representative stated in a statement that a business class passenger was removed off the aircraft at the captain’s recommendation after a disagreement with crew members prior to the planned pushback.

“following an approximate one-hour delay, flight AI 161 took off following the off-boarding. The representative said that the customer who was off-boarded had valid grounds for their trip and was accommodated on a later aircraft after receiving a written guarantee.

It was not possible to instantly find out further information regarding the occurrence.

According to data from aviation regulator DGCA, Air India refused boarding to as many as 894 people in January, and the company paid almost Rs 98 lakh for compensation and other assistance.
