Following a dispute about a child’s affair, neighbors beat a couple to death with iron rods

In the Sitapur area of Uttar Pradesh, a couple was reportedly killed by their neighbors who beat them to death with iron rods and sticks on Friday.

The pair, known as Abbas and his wife Kamrul Nisha, is said to have been killed in their hamlet of Rajeypur, which is a part of the Hargaon Police Station area, according to Sitapur Police Superintendent Chakresh Mishra.

The couple was attacked by members of a nearby home, who subsequently left the scene, and perished there and then. Soon after learning of the incident, Mishra rushed at the spot. To find the culprits, police have been stationed in the area.

Mishra claims that Abbas’ son eloped with a girl from the next home. After a case was filed against him in this regard, Abbas’ son was incarcerated.

The SP said that because Abbas’ son had only recently been freed from prison, some family members of the girl had plotted this assault on the couple.

In accordance with the relevant provisions, a case has been filed in this regard, and an investigation is under progress. Three of the primary suspects have reportedly been taken into custody, while two more are being sought.
