Food poisoning: No contamination is shown in the lab report

Mangaluru: According to authorities, there was no contamination found in the laboratory results of the samples taken from the ice cream plant in Adyar. Many people reported being ill in the second week of April after supposedly consuming the product’s delicate coconut water from the ice cream shop. As of April 16, 141 people have been reported ill with possible food poisoning.

If test results showed that the tender coconut water was unfit for human consumption, the health agency intended to sue the ice cream business. But according to DHO Dr. HR Thimmaiah, the lab report on the samples provided after the purported food poisoning incident revealed no evidence of contamination.

The test result states that the soft coconut samples that were taken from the manufacturer were safe to consume. It’s still unclear what exactly caused the health problems that those who drank factory-produced tender coconut juice were experiencing. Two days after the occurrence, the information was sent to the health department. After ingesting the soft coconut juice on April 8, many people had health problems and were sick over the next several days. On April 10, the samples were taken from the plant. Had the samples been taken on the same day, the lab result would have been more accurate. Samples could not be collected that day due to the information’s delay in being received, according to the DHO.

“We gave the plant permission to prepare the pulp for the ice cream. “They have opened their pulping unit,” he said.
