Four parties’ candidates will submit their papers today

The candidates from the four major parties—the Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP)—will be filing their nomination papers for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Friday, possibly because Akshaya Tritiya falls tomorrow and is considered an auspicious occasion.

Today was the third day when paperwork needed to be filed, yet nobody showed up. Comedian Nitu Shuttran Wala is the lone independent candidate who has submitted his paperwork from Jalandhar thus far.

Tomorrow morning, former Chief Minister and Congress candidate Charanjit S. Channi will conduct a rally at the PUDA grounds in front of the District Administrative Complex. Following the event, he will file his paperwork.

Channi will be accompanied by Partap Singh Bajwa, the leader of the opposition in the Legislative Assembly, who is a member of Congress. Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, the president of the State Congress, is also anticipated to attend the event.

Mohinder S. Kaypee, the Akali Dal candidate, is scheduled to have a meeting in his Model Town residence prior to filing paperwork at the DC office. Similarly, tomorrow is anticipated to see the filing of papers by BJP candidate Sushil Rinku and BSP candidate Balwinder Kumar.

There will be BJP state in-charge Vijay Rupani present when Rinku files his candidacy. Sunil Jakhar, the state president of the BJP, is also anticipated to attend the event.

Starting as a roadshow in Kachehri Chowk, Sushil Rinku’s cavalcade would go to the DC office.

On Monday, Pawan Tinu, the Aam Aadmi Party candidate, is anticipated to turn in his nomination papers.
