Four people detained in Reasi area on suspicion of murder

Jammu: Approximately five months ago, in a remote area inside the Reasi district, a 45-year-old man was killed. Four people have been charged with his murder. On December 9, police said that Mohd Rafiq was discovered dead outside Jia Baggo Dass hamlet in the Chasana section of the district.

According to a police spokeswoman, the matter was resolved with the arrest of his neighbors Nazir Ahmed Ruslla, Shabir Ahmed, Nazir Ahmed, and Farooq Ahmed. According to officials, Rafiq was beaten because he was supposedly having an extramarital affair with one of the accused’s wives. After his death, they discarded his corpse on the side of the road, around 500 meters from where the murder was committed.

Army leaves Kupwara with a critically ill patient

Kupwara: According to authorities on Sunday, the Army rescued a critically ill patient from a remote hamlet close to the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kupwara region. The patient was airlifted to the closest hospital, according to the Army’s Chinar Corps. “#ChinarWarriors responded to a distress call to evacuate a seriously ill patient from a remote village, near LoC #Kupwara,” Chinar Corps said in a post on X. The patient received emergency medical attention and was flown to the closest hospital.
