Ghulam Nabi Azad claims that the PDP and National Conference duped the public with their cries of self-rule

Ghulam Nabi Azad, the head of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), said today that the Peoples Democratic Party and the National Conference have duped the populace under the guise of autonomy and self-government.

Why don’t the NC and PDP use these slogans anymore? Speaking at a public gathering in Kokernag, Azad said, “They deceived the populace, relished in their power, and caused the deaths of innocent people.”

He said that by using catchphrases that support autonomy and self-rule, these groups have taken advantage of Kashmiris throughout the years. He said that despite his vocal opposition to Article 370’s repeal in Parliament, the National Conference’s lawmakers kept mute on the matter.

Why don’t the NC and PDP use these slogans anymore? They killed innocent people, relished power, and deceived the public, according to Azad.

He said that he is dedicated to standing up for people’s rights and making sure their opinions are heard at the federal level. He called for unity while issuing a warning that these parties would not serve the interests of the people, no matter who they align with for power. “They’ll only take advantage of and use the voters.”

“Kokernag was the original home of my grandpa. Even though we relocated to Doda, we still have a unique bond. Let’s mend that bond together. My heart has always belonged to Anantnag. Here, I have built hospitals, schools, a degree college, and a medical college,” Azad said. “I want to help this district even more, Kokernag in particular. Give me the opportunity to help,” Azad remarked.

He also emphasized his work implementing the Roshni plan, which grants land rights to the impoverished. He said that he was the only one to speak out against the government’s effort to confiscate the property, stopping the bulldozers. Should he be elected, he promised to bring back the Roshni plan.

Azad said that it is imperative to solve unemployment and pledged to do so if he were elected. According to him, it’s critical to provide loans to those with less education so they may launch enterprises and make a living. He regretted not being able to serve for his full time as Chief Minister and spoke about the unrealized potential of tourism. “To fully utilize this potential, I would have approved more tourism projects if I had the opportunity,” Azad said.

Azad also promised to concentrate on advancing development, constructing hospitals, and roads.
