Gurugram: A punishment of Rs 10,000 for obstructing fire engines and ambulances

According to the Gurugram Traffic Police, there is a Rs 10,000 punishment for anybody who prevents fire engines and ambulances from passing. The event will be captured on camera by the traffic police as well.
“The traffic police will impose a fine of Rs 10,000 starting this week for blocking ambulances and fire trucks” , an official added.

According to the zonal officer of Gurugram, DCP (traffic) Virender Vij, those who refuse to yield to essential vehicles like ambulances and fire brigades would immediately get online challans.

According to him, the incident’s video tape would be sent with the challans.

Penalties under Motor Vehicle Act Section 194E
According to Section 194E of the Motor Vehicle Act, the charging amount for the offense is Rs 10,000. This will assist in rescuing individuals in critical condition who are being transported in ambulances to various hospitals,” he said.

“Gurugram traffic police is already providing green corridors for ambulances carrying organs meant for transplant to different hospitals and helping to save the lives of serious patients,” said DCP Vij.
