Gurugram bus stand in disarray; officials vow to restructure

The city bus station in Gurugram is finally being removed, having been deemed dangerous in 2015. Due to institutional indifference, the district’s transportation hub—which handled more than 20,000 people per day—has a reputation for being neglected. One gets a bad impression of the Millennium City from the almost nonexistent signage, the dearth of seats and restrooms, the temporary shelters used as ticket and information booths, the severe flooding that occurs during the monsoon season, and the chaotic traffic.
