Horror in Karnataka: Woman Walked Naked and Tied To Pole After Son Runs Away With Engaged Girl

New Delhi: After her son fled with a girl who was already engaged to someone else, a mother in a hamlet in the Karnataka district of Belagavi was viciously beaten, stripped nude, and tied to an electric pole, according to police on Monday. The boy’s mother was taken out of the boy’s home after her relatives broke in and pillaged it in the new Vantamuri community. In a horrifying act of cruelty, they then stripped her nude and chained her to an electric pole.

When the police arrived on the scene at 4 am, they had been notified about the event and had saved the lady. Seven of the perpetrators were taken into custody, and a complaint was filed at the Kakati police station. To stop any further unrest, more troops were stationed in the area.

The girl, Priyanka (18), and the male, Ashok (24), were in love and came from the same village, according to Belagavi Police Commissioner Siddramappa. When the girl’s parents and other family members learned about her elopement on Monday at approximately 12:30 am, they were outraged and turned their ire on the boy’s mother.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah fiercely denounced the event on behalf of the state government, calling it “extremely inhuman” and promising tough punishment for those responsible. He said that the tragedy had brought dishonor to his country and that such horrible deeds would not be allowed for whatever reason.

Along with promising the victim’s family justice, he announced that other persons had been taken into custody in relation to the crime. He made his stance known on the social media site “X.”

Upon visiting the region, Home Minister G Parameshwara voiced his horror and disgust at the occurrence, stating that the boy’s mother, who was alone at home, had been assaulted by ten to fifteen members of the girl’s family. He claimed the lady was transported to the hospital for treatment after being rescued by the cops.

He said that seven individuals had been taken into custody and would appear in court. In addition, he said that the elopement pair was being sought after by the police. He added that the cops were following the law and referred to the occurrence as disgusting.
