In a rally in Jagdalpur, Amit Shah pledges to end the naxal threat in Chhattisgarh and criticizes the Congress

On Thursday, Amit Shah, the union home minister, accused the Congress of supporting naxalism and claimed that during the nine years of the Narendra Modi government’s reign, there has been a 52% decrease in naxal violent events.

Shah encouraged supporters to vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Chhattisgarh election, pledging that his party would rid the state of the Naxal threat. The state is now dominated by the Congress.

He said that the funds given from the Center for the state’s development would be “diverted to Delhi through the ‘ATM’ of Congress” if the Congress were to regain power in Chhattisgarh.

Elections for Chhattisgarh’s 90 assembly seats are set to take place in two stages on November 7 and 17, with results being announced on December 3.

Shah claimed that because Chhattisgarh is Lord Ram’s “nanihal” (the location of his maternal grandparents), the people of Chhattisgarh will celebrate Diwali three times: on the actual day of the festival, on December 3, when the BJP will be elected to power, and on January 2, when the Ram temple will be finished.

Before BJP candidates in three Bastar seats filed their nominations, a gathering was staged in Jagdalpur, the district’s capital.

The Naxalite threat still exists in certain areas of the Bastar region, which was formerly thought to be the worst-affected region. “Elect the BJP to power in the state, we will free the entire state of the menace,” Shah said.

“In 9 years of the Modi government, incidents of (Naxal) violence declined by 52 per cent, deaths (in Maoist violence) came down by 70 per cent, civilian deaths deceased by 68 per cent, while the (number of) Naxal-affected districts declined by 62 per cent,” the Union minister said.

“(Prime Minister) Modi ji has worked hard to advance the interests of tribal people all throughout the nation. The Modi administration has tried to provide security, respect, and inclusive development to tribal people in addition to conserving their jal (water), forest, and zameen (land), he added.

pleading with people to support the BJP, There are two alternatives available to you, Shah added. On the one side, there is the Congress, which supports naxalism, and on the other, there is the BJP, which eradicates naxalism. The BJP is giving gas cylinders, toilets, drinking water, health facilities, cereals, and homes to crores of needy people while the Congress paid millions of rupees worth of corrupt money to the Delhi Darbar.
