In an emergency, Central Control and Command Center will act as the brain of Indian Railways

According to an announcement, the Central Control and Command Centre for Indian Railways broke ground on Wednesday in New Delhi.

In times of emergency, it will act as the nerve center for all of Indian Railways, according to the press release. The ceremony’s chief guest was Sanjay Chander, director general of the Railway Protection Force (RPF).

According to a press release, the Central Command and Control Centre building will serve as the headquarters for data monitoring, CCTV analysis, data analysis, and works related to cyber operations, etc., with respect to all zones of the Indian Railways. A video screen of each zone will be installed in the monitoring hall for this purpose.

 

According to the statement, around 50 employees will work a variety of shifts in the monitoring and analytical unit around the clock.

The structure will have a meeting room with a capacity for 60 people, a gym, a café, and dignitary suites. The project will be built in two stages. For both stages, sums of Rs 4.5 crore and Rs 13.5 crore were approved.
