In Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, President Murmu stops a convoy and gives chocolates to children

On her trip to Guru Ghasidas Central University in the Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh on Friday, President Droupadi Murmu halted her convoy and offered chocolates to youngsters. Earlier in the day, the President paid a visit to the Mahamaya temple in Ratanpur town while on a two-day trip to Chhattisgarh.

The president requested that the convoy halt halfway at Ratanpur on her route back from the tenth convocation ceremony at Guru Ghasidas Central University Bilaspur, according to a senior police officer. She then stepped out of her vehicle. She approached a throng of people gathering by the side of the road and gave them a warm welcome. The source said that the president then offered chocolates to the kids in the group.

‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ were yelled by the crowd, who were caught off guard. The president visited with them for around five minutes before continuing his trip. According to authorities, Murmu arrived back in Delhi from Raipur in the evening.
