In Kabir Nagar, Delhi, a structure falls, killing two people

NEW DELHI: In the Delhi neighbourhood of Kabir Nagar, a two-story structure fell, leaving two people dead and at least one seriously injured. A distress call was received at 2:16 am on Thursday morning, in the early hours of the tragedy.

Three workers were trapped on the bottom level, which was used for jeans cutting, while the first story of the building was unoccupied.
Two employees, Arshad (30) and Tauhid (20), were pronounced dead at GTB Hospital, according to North East DCP Joy Tirkey.

Rehan, a 22-year-old employee, is in severe condition and is undergoing medical attention. He continued by saying that there is an ongoing inquiry into the matter and that appropriate legal action would be taken.
According to station officer Anoop, rescue crews arrived right away after the police were notified. Three workers, he said, were buried under the debris.
Shahid, the building owner, has not been found, and legal action is still waiting.
