In Panipat, Sonepat, procurement is ongoing, although wheat arrival has not yet begun

In the grain markets of Sonepat and Panipat districts, the wheat crop has not yet arrived, but its purchase started on April 1. Additionally, bids for the lifting and moving of grains have not yet been released.

Experts in agriculture claim that wheat arrival is entirely dependent on harvesting, which has not yet begun. Within the following five to six days, it is anticipated that the harvest will begin to arrive at grain markets. The mustard crop procurement process is nearly over.

Based on the information at hand, government organizations will acquire wheat from 414 purchasing centers located across the state, of which 12 are in the districts of Panipat and 24 are in Sonepat.

Farmers in Bhainswan Khurd village, like Bhagat Singh, said that while the weather is favorable for the wheat crop, harvesting has not yet begun. Despite the fact that the government began purchasing wheat on April 1, grain markets have not yet seen its presence.

“Proper arrival of wheat has not started so far,” said Dharambir Singh Malik, head of the Panipat grain market and state vice president of the Haryana Arhtias Association. The harvest of mustard is nearly completely procured.
