In the next 24 hours, Rajasthan is expecting rain and thunderstorms: MeT

May 10, Jaipur The MeT has forecast showers and thunderstorms for Rajasthan over the next 24 hours as the state continues to experience extreme temperatures.

Director of the Jaipur MeT Center, R. S. Sharma, stated, “A circulation system is formed over western Rajasthan, due to which there is a strong possibility of light rain and strong gusty winds (storm) 40–50 kmph in the afternoon in some parts of Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, and Udaipur divisions.”

According to him, there is a good chance of thunderstorms (with powerful gusts of 40 to 50 mph) and rain on Saturday in some areas of the divisions of Bikaner, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota, Jaipur, and Bharatpur.

According to Sharma, “Thunderstorm activity is likely to continue at isolated places on May 12–13.”

According to him, Friday’s high temperature is probably going to be close to 45 degrees Celsius in certain locations.

Rajasthan was scorching during the heat wave, with temperatures above 40 degrees in almost every region.

At 46.2 degrees Celsius, Phalodi was the hottest place on Earth, followed closely by Kota at 44.2 degrees Celsius.

The temperature readings from Barmer, Jaisalmer, and Jodhpur were 45.2, 45.3, and 44.3 degrees Celsius, respectively.

45.2 degrees Celsius was the temperature recorded in Bikaner, while 45.1 degrees Celsius was reported in Ganganagar.

Every city had temperatures over 40 degrees Celsius, with Karauli recording 39.4 degrees and Mount Abu recording 32.4 degrees.
