In the Skill Development Corporation case, Chandrababu Naidu submits a bail plea to the court

N Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the TDP, has submitted two bail petitions—an interim one and a regular one—before a local court after being sentenced to 14 days in judicial detention for his alleged involvement in a multimillion-dollar Skill Development Corporation fraud.

Naidu said there was no prima facie evidence on file against him and refuted all of the accusations made against him in the interim bail petition.

“We’ve submitted two requests, one for ordinary bail and one for temporary bail. However, counsel G Subba Rao, a member of Naidu’s legal team, informed PTI that the hearing may not take place today (Friday).

Rao said that the Crime Investigation Department has not yet submitted a response to their requests for bail. He emphasized that the hearing may not take place on Friday as a result. The CID, however, has received the warning and has not yet responded, according to the lawyer.

The ACB Court received the bail applications on Thursday and remanded Naidu.

In connection with a case involving the theft of money from the Skill Development Corporation, which cost the state government more than Rs 300 crore, former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu was detained.

He is being held at the Rajamahendravaram Central Prison at the moment.
