Jagan choosing candidates in accordance with social justice norms: YSRC MP

According to V Vijayasai Reddy, national general secretary of the YSRC, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the party head, is choosing candidates for the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections based on social justice. “He is selecting the right candidates for the upcoming polls in the same manner that he has been following social justice in every other sector,” he said.

Thanks to the efforts of V Ashok Babu, the party coordinator for Vemuru, a number of TDP leaders and activists from the Chundur, Bhattiprolu, and Amartaluru mandals in the Vemuru Assembly constituency in the Bapatla district joined the YSRC on Tuesday. Vijayasai Reddy is the regional coordinator of Guntur. Through the efforts of the party’s coordinator for Repalle, E Ganesh, members of the JSP and TDP from the mandals of Repalle, Nizampatnam, Cherukupalle, and Nagaram joined the YSRC at the central office.

In his remarks at the event, Vijayasai Reddy called V Ashok Babu a gentleman, asked the residents of the Vemuru Assembly seat to offer him their support, and gave his word that, as in the past, the YSRC leader will work for the welfare and development of the area. He remembers using his MPLADs on roads and drainage in Chundur during his prior visit. He advised the residents of the Vemuru Assembly seat to be on the lookout for groups attempting to sow discord among the various castes.

“People from various communities and sectors are members of the YSRC, and it does not disregard any of them. The party, led by Jagan, is committed to improving the lot of underprivileged and marginalized populations. The last few months have been marked by Jagan’s efforts to raise people’s standards of life and elevate the State to the forefront of development and welfare. He went on to explain how numerous YSRC government programs benefitted various facets of society.

He also added that the YSRC is backing laws to have a friendly relationship with the Center and warned the public to be cautious of the TDP since it is allying with community groups. Any government program in the State requires the Center’s support and collaboration. Remember that the YSRC rejected legislation that went against the secular ethos and did not support the Triple Talaq law. The YSRC is not pining for an alliance with the BJP, in contrast to the TDP, he said.

The MP praised Mopidevi Venkataramana, the former minister, and said that Jagan Mohan Reddy had chosen to nominate him again for the Rajya Sabha.
