Lok Sabha elections: 708 Karnataka polling stations with lower voter participation than the state average were found

The district administration is concentrating on pinpointing the polling places where voter participation was lower than the state average of 70.35 percent in order to raise the proportion of voters in the next Lok Sabha elections. To increase voting, the government has designated 708 of these booths among five Assembly districts.

Data from the District Election Office shows that, out of these 708 booths, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s seat has the most, with 207. The Assandh section has 195, Nilokheri has 144, Gharaunda has 107, and the Indri segment has 55 after that.

The government is using a variety of strategies under the Election Commission of India’s flagship program, Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP), to address the issues behind the low turnout rate.

“We have determined which polling places had lower voter turnout in the most recent Lok Sabha elections than the state average. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Akhil Pilani said, “We are looking into the causes to address the factors that are causing it and different activities will be initiated to increase the turnout rate.”

To determine the underlying reasons for the low voter turnout, a careful observation of the targeted booths was in progress. According to the ADC, this practice will go on until the elections are over.

He stated that efforts were being made to improve the engagement of women voters in order to boost their participation in the political process.

According to the ADC, female members of self-help organizations are being tasked with actively mobilizing female voters and promoting their involvement in the political process. Pilani said that their outreach initiatives will probably increase the number of women who cast ballots in the Lok Sabha election.

Khattar’s constituency has 207.

Data released by the District Election Office indicates that of these 708 booths, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s seat has the most, with 207. Following it are Assandh with 195, Nilokheri with 144, Gharaunda with 107, and the Indri Assembly section with 55.
