Love Triangle, Murder, and Confession: Delhi Man Calls the Police After Stabbing His Friend to Death

Delhi: According to the police, a 33-year-old mechanic called Zahid was fatally stabbed on Sunday at his rented home in the Mahindra Park neighborhood of northwest Delhi. The suspect, known only as Ravi, was friends with Zahid, and the subject of their argument was supposedly a lady. Around 4:30 p.m., Mahindra Park Police Station got a PCR call informing them of the stabbing incident.

An officer said that a lady who was in the residence during the argument knew both Ravi and Zahid. As soon as Zahid saw the lady with Ravi in his house, they got into a heated dispute. A senior police official alleged that Ravi fatally stabbed Zahid when the dispute grew violent.

After the fight, Ravi—who was also hurt in the altercation—called the police to report what had happened. Zahid, a man who worked as a mechanic for paper cutting machines, passed away from his wounds, and Ravi is now in a hospital getting treatment.

Once Ravi is released from the hospital, the police have said that they want to interrogate both Ravi and the lady who was involved in the incident. Authorities are still looking into the unfortunate incident and trying to put together what led up to Zahid’s sudden death.

In related news, a lady in her 30s was shot and killed on Friday inside her house in Northwest Delhi. The gunman was said to be a 17-year-old kid. The woman’s disapproval of the suspect’s connection with her daughter is suspected by the police to be the driving force. After arriving at BJRM Hospital with two gunshot wounds to her chest, the lady passed away. The youngster is running with two other young people. The suspect and the victim’s daughter have fled together on many occasions in the past. A formal complaint has been made under many IPC provisions.
