Low-Key Pro-Khalistani Protest Attendance In London

On Saturday, a modest number of people showed out for a demonstration organized by pro-Khalistani organizations outside the Indian High Commission in London. There wasn’t much of a turnout for the event, which had contentious banners encouraging violence featuring Vikram Doraiswami, the Indian High Commissioner, and Dr. Shashank Vikram, the consul general of India in Birmingham.

Throughout the whole demonstration, which ended earlier than anticipated, there was a noticeable police presence. Before the demonstration, a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman had promised that “an appropriate policing plan will be in place.”

“We have made it very clear to Vikram Doraiswami and the Government of India that the safety of staff at the High Commission is paramount,” he added. Since Khalistani fanatics attempted to tear down the Indian tricolor and broke windows in the High Commission building back in March, there has been a very noticeable Metropolitan Police security presence at India House in the heart of London.

shrewdly replied that the British government will assess the security at the Indian High Commission and make the necessary measures to protect the safety of its workers. Following threats from Khalistani radicals in many areas of the globe against Indian envoys and senior diplomats, Cleverly made his most recent remark this week.
