“Mandi Marathon” on May 18 to encourage voters to cast ballots

By scanning the QR code, individuals may apply for the marathon, according to Mandi Sadar, SDM OM Kant Thakur. In addition, people might apply in person by going to this election office.

The Mandi Assembly constituency’s electors will be made aware of their rights to vote via the three different sorts of events, according to the SDM. The Election Commission of India (ECI) launched the SVEEP initiative to inform and motivate voters to engage in the election process.

“On May 6, there will be a democracy quiz competition; on May 15, there will be a cleaning drive; and on May 18, there will be a “Mandi Marathon.” The marathon is open to all citizens who are at least eighteen years old, according to the SDM.

The official said that anybody who is a citizen and is older than eighteen may take the quiz. This May 6 at Vallabh Government College, there will be a democracy quiz competition with awards for the winners. There will also be other events.

The Mandi MC will hold a cleaning campaign in each of its wards on May 15th, since voting and “shramdaan” are essential for both cleanliness and a robust democracy. In addition to promoting cleanliness, people will become aware of their voting rights on this day, he said.
