Many Parties Want to Join the NDA, but Dharma Is With the BJP, according to Anurag Thakur

Anurag Thakur, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, said on Tuesday that a number of parties are eager to join the NDA for the sake of the nation, with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) taking the lead.

The minister expressed optimism that the NCP’s proposal to join the NDA and become a member of the Maharashtra government would strengthen the administration and that the BJP would still maintain a strong and stable government at the Centre beyond the 2024 general elections.

Speaking to reporters upon his arrival at Kangra Airport was Thakur.

In response to a query on the Supreme Court’s consideration of arguments against the repeal of Article 370, Thakur said that Jammu and Kashmir finally received its due after 75 years and that peace, fraternity, and development had improved as a result of the ruling.

According to him, terrorist attacks and stone-throwing events have significantly decreased, terrorists are being dealt with harshly, tourism to Jammu and Kashmir has grown significantly, and investors are moving to the region.

According to him, all of these modifications support the decision to repeal Article 370.

Later, he said that “dharma is with the BJP” and that the party is prepared to win again in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections while speaking at a gathering at Gagret, in the Una district.

He said that this time, anybody attempting to undermine the BJP’s political equilibrium will be totally defeated.

People want the NDA to take back power because of the government’s successes under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, he said.

He said that the unified civil code is a topic on which the ministers in the Himachal Pradesh cabinet of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu vary, and he pressed the Congressman to explain his position.

On Friday, state PWD minister Vikramaditya Singh urged against the “politicisation” of a unified civil code while extending his “full support” for one.

He also questioned why, after nine years of having a resounding majority in Parliament, the NDA government at the Centre did not put such a legislation into effect.

In the few months leading up to the elections, he questioned why there was propaganda on it.

However, Singh’s comments was characterised as his personal view by Agriculture Minister Chander Kumar on Sunday, who added that the Congress has not made any decisions in this area.

Rajiv Bindal, the head of the BJP in the state, had also contacted Sukhu on Monday to inquire about his position.
