March 4 marks the launch of the Una-Haridwar train

In a circular, Indian Railways has announced the revised schedule for the Una to Saharanpur Special MEMU passenger train, which has been extended to Haridwar. Union Information and Broadcasting, Youth Affairs, and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur will start the train’s first journey on Monday, March 4, at the Una railway station.

Train number 04502 MEMU Special Passenger train will depart from Una railway station at 1:50 pm and arrive in Haridwar at 9 pm on the same day, according to the circular that was made available to the media today. The train will stop along the way at Roorkee at 8 p.m., Saharanpur at 7:20 p.m., and Ambala Cantonment at 5:32 p.m.

Train 04501 will depart Haridwar at 4.30 am on its return trip and arrive in Una at 12.30 pm on the same day. The train would stop in Saharanpur at 6.20 am, Roorkee at 5.25 am, and Ambala cantonment at 8.15 am along the route. The train will go to Ambala via the Sirhind route, avoiding Chandigarh, once it leaves Kulari.

The extended train service, according to Sumit Sharma, Member (North Zone) of the Indian Railways Commercial division, would help pilgrims and those traveling to Haridwar to immerse their loved ones’ ashes in the Ganga.
