Meth 200 gram worth Rs 15L was found, and two were detained

At Banu Nagar in Ambattur on Saturday, two men were taken into custody for allegedly smuggling and selling methamphetamine valued at Rs 15 lakh. The two defendants were named as Ramesh (24), and Babu (25).

According to Ambattur police, a police squad conducted a vehicle check near Banu Nagar after receiving a tip. They intercepted a vehicle whose occupants started acting strangely. The cops reportedly discovered 200 grams of methamphetamine inside the car after searching it.

“We believe that the two suspects planned to sell the drug here after obtaining it from Bengaluru. The car and the drug have been taken into custody. To learn more about their network, further research is being done, according to a police officer. The amount of drugs that were found is believed to be worth Rs 15 lakh.
