My primary objective is to free marginalized areas from the constraints of underdevelopment: J&K LG Sinha

Jammu and Kashmir respectively On Saturday, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that the primary goal of his government is to guarantee that every family is able to take advantage of the advantages of peace and prosperity. He also stated that the administration would work to free underdeveloped communities and parts of society from their grips.

Here in this city, Sinha presided over the concluding ceremony of the Samagra Awaas-Convergence event that was held as part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for Gramin (PMAY-G) and distributed payment installments totaling Rs 150 crore to the program’s recipients.

During his speech, Sinha discussed the initiatives taken by the government of Jammu and Kashmir to enhance the standard of living enjoyed by the residents of the Union territory.

“My primary goal is to free underdeveloped segments of society from their shackles and to ensure that every family enjoys the benefits of peace and prosperity. This will be accomplished by ensuring that no family is left behind.” “We have made a commitment to ensure a livelihood and build a brighter future for them by giving land to the landless,” he said, adding that the government was devoted to inclusive development and last-mile connectivity. He also said that the administration was committed to land distribution.

Sinha added that all 3,39 lakh eligible dwellings out of the total 3,42 lakh houses that were sanctioned to J&K under PMAY-G have been approved. He was highlighting the progress that has been made under PMAY.

To far, the recipients have been given possession of 1.74 lakh of these homes. In addition, he said that the building work on the lingering homes will be finished by the end of current fiscal year.

“We are determined to provide a roof over the head of poor families and to saturate the benefits provided in convergence with schemes for better and more decent living.” According to Sinha, “We want to empower the last person in the queue and make our villages self-sufficient so that we can achieve the goal of atmnirbhar J&K.”

The LG presented awards of recognition to the districts and blocks that had achieved the highest levels of convergence and had the greatest overall performance under PMAY-G.

He extended his congratulations to the members of the PRI (panchayati raj institution), as well as to all of the departments that had a stake in the matter, as well as to the residents of the districts of Kathua, Budgam, Kulgam, and Ramban for gaining ODF plus status and 100 percent model district status.

He went on to say that the success of the Union territory in Model Village Coverage could be attributed to the collaborative efforts of everyone involved.

Additionally, he encouraged the people to take an active role in the celebrations of Independence Day.
