“Naxalite tactics”: Rahul Gandhi should be booked by police for inciting a mob, according to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Sarma

NEW DELHI: On Tuesday, Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, responded angrily to Congress demonstrations outside of Guwahati, labelling them “Naxalite tactics” and announcing that he had given the director general of police (DGP) instructions to file a case against Rahul Gandhi for inciting crowds.

Rahul Gandhi was prevented from entering Guwahati earlier today while on his “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra” in Assam, which sparked protests from Congressmen who tore down barriers and chanted slogans. Later, Rahul stood in front of party members outside the city and said, “We have broken barricades, but we will not break the law.”
Rahul was criticized by Himanta Biswa Sarma, who wrote on X: “The Assamese culture does not include them. We live in a tranquil condition. Such things are totally outside of our society. I have directed @DGPAssamPolice to file a complaint against your leader, @RahulGandhi, for inciting the mob, and to utilize the videos you have uploaded to your accounts as proof. There is already a severe traffic bottleneck in Guwahati as a consequence of your disorderly conduct and disregard for established protocols.”
The video that Youth Congress president B V Srinivas put on his social media accounts would be used as evidence, according to Sarma, a former Congress politician.
Ever since Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Nyay Yatra reached the state, the two have been in a furious verbal spat. The chief minister of Assam called Rahul Gandhi “Ravan” on Monday and declined to address his criticisms. Rahul has been referring to Himanta Biswa Sarma as the nation’s most dishonest chief minister during his rallies. Rahul has further said that the chief minister of Assam is following orders from Delhi and saluting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to appease him.

Congress requests a judicial investigation into the yatra assaults.
Governor Gulab Chand Kataria has been called by opposition leader in the Assam legislative assembly, Debabrata Saikia, to conduct a judicial inquiry into the physical attack on state Congress president Bhupen Bora and the disruptive behavior of accused BJP cadres during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.
Using physical force and criminal attacks against our senior leaders, Saikia claimed in a memo addressed to the governor that the current state government, led by Himanta Biswa Sarma, is establishing a “serious administrative blockade and also resorted to unleashing unruly lumpens to sabotage the peaceful Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.”
Senior AICC leader Jairam Ramesh’s automobile was forcibly halted by BJP supporters on Sunday during the yatra, and they verbally harassed him and tore off the stickers off his car, he alleged.
