NCERT textbooks include updated course outlines for all courses in two years

In another two years, new NCERT textbooks for every class covered by the revised curriculum would be released, according to official sources in the union education ministry. The NCERT has been requested by the ministry to examine and update its textbooks annually in order to include new material. New books for Classes 3 and 6 have been posted on the school’s website and made accessible to educators so far.

The National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE), which was created based on the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, would be in line with the new NCERT textbooks. Currently, the NCERT is working on 130 textbook titles that span literature from Class 1 to Class 12.

By 2026, all classrooms will have new curriculum-based textbooks available. According to the source, it will take at least two years for all textbooks for all courses taught in accordance with the NCF to be published.

Since 2017, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), according to officials, has been periodically updating and amending curriculum. They are now required to do the activity annually.

It’s critical that textbooks get updated in light of how quickly the world is changing. The source said, “The NCERT has been requested to carry out an annual review and provide an update prior to the start of the next academic year.
