On his eighth attempt, the son of a laborer in Rajasthan becomes a geography professor

One of the most crucial things to do in order to succeed is to work hard. History has shown that good intentions and sincere efforts in life are never in vain. A similar story occurred in Rajasthan, when a man’s unwavering perseverance allowed him to eventually realise his ambition. The guy reportedly took the teacher certification test eight times before passing it and being hired as a geography professor. He had previously failed the exam seven times.

Kirtaram Meghwal, a native of Negrada village in the Barmer district, is the individual in question. Kirtaram has always been in dire straits financially. But he always had hope to go on in life because of his work and dreams. Gordhanram, his father, used to send him to school with the money he earned from his daily labor. Luni Devi, his mother, looks after the house as a homemaker. Jogaram, Kirtaram’s older brother, is a tailor.

Kirtaram has always had a strong interest in geography. He took the test seven times in an effort to pass it and become a professor on the topic. Kirtaram went to work as a laborer with his father after failing the test, but his father urged him to study instead. Kirtaram did not pass the Second Grade Recruitment Examination, LDC, Writ, or Gram Sevak.

However, he remained optimistic and made the decision to keep trying till his goal came true. Even after going through a lot of difficulties and a financial crisis, Kirtaram never gave up on his aspirations.

In October 2023, Kirtaram was chosen for the third-grade teacher recruitment test, and in December of the same year, he was appointed as a geography professor. Kirtaram is a great encouragement to everyone now that he has overcome his setback and passed the test.
