On March 17, the Congress will sound the election bugle at the end of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Mumbai. Patole

Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole said that the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, spearheaded by Rahul Gandhi, would culminate in Mumbai on March 17 with a gathering at Shivaji Park in the city.

On the occasion, he said that on Thursday, the party would sound its poll trumpet for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

According to Patole, preparations for the yatra, which leaves Nandurbar on March 12 and enters Maharashtra, are almost finished.

“On March 17, Shivaji Park in Mumbai will host the Nyay Yatra’s final rally,” he said. He claimed that the party had the necessary approvals to hold the demonstration.

According to Patole, the ceremony would be attended by leaders of the Maha Vikas Aghadi, which is made up of the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and the NCP faction headed by Sharad Pawar.

He said, “There, we (Congress) will sound the poll bugle for the Lok Sabha elections.”

Ahead of the yatra, Congress leaders met for a review on Thursday with the party’s state in-charge, Ramesh Chennithala.

According to Patole, the BJP “steals leaders from other parties because it lacks capable candidates of its own.”

He also made fun of the governing party for excluding Nagpur-born Union minister Nitin Gadkari from the first list of contenders.

“Gadkari is a national leader whose name ought to have been on the BJP’s initial list, but it isn’t. He stated, “Congress will win this time around because they have a strong candidate in Nagpur, and they will also have a candidate in Sangli.

The BJP secured 23 seats in the 2019 general elections, whereas the Shiv Sena, in its entirety, secured 18 seats. Four seats were won by the NCP; the Congress, AIMIM, and an independent candidate each received one seat.
