On Monday, PM Modi will open a 19-kilometer stretch of the Dwarka Expressway in Haryana

On March 11, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Gurugram, Haryana.

The Prime Minister will officially open and lay the cornerstone for 112 National Highway Projects worth Rs 1 lakh crore throughout the nation at about noon.

To facilitate better traffic flow and reduce congestion on NH-48 between Delhi and Gurugram, the Prime Minister will officially open the Haryana segment of the iconic Dwarka Expressway.

At an estimated cost of Rs 4,100 crore, the 19 km Haryana segment of the eight-lane Dwarka Expressway was constructed. It consists of two sections: the 10.2 km Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) and the 8.7 km Basai ROB to Kherki Daula.

Additionally, it will provide direct access to the Gurugram bypass and Delhi’s IGI Airport.

The 9.6 km long, six-lane Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) – Package 3 from Nangloi-Najafgarh Road to Sector 24 Dwarka section in Delhi; three packages of the Lucknow Ring Road developed at roughly Rs 4,600 crore in Uttar Pradesh; the Anandapuram-Pendurthi-Anakapalli section of NH16 developed at roughly Rs 2,950 crore in Andhra Pradesh; the Kiratpur to Nerchowk section of NH-21 (2 packages) worth approximately Rs 3,400 crore in Himachal Pradesh; the Dobaspet-Heskote section (two packages) worth Rs 2,750 crore in Karnataka; and forty-two other projects worth approximately Rs 20,500 crore in various states.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the cornerstone for a number of national highway projects around the nation.

Fourteen packages of the Bengaluru-Kadappa-Vijayawada Expressway, valued at Rs. 14,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh; six packages of the Belgaum-Hungund-Raichur section of NH-748A, valued at Rs. 8,000 crore in Karnataka; three packages of the Shamli-Ambala highway, valued at Rs. 4,900 crore in Haryana; two packages of the Amritsar-Bathinda corridor, valued at Rs. 3,800 crore in Punjab; and 39 other projects totaling Rs. 32,700 crore in various states are among the major projects for which the foundation stone will be laid.

In addition to helping to increase socioeconomic development, provide employment opportunities, and encourage trade and commerce in locations all across the nation, these projects will substantially contribute to the expansion of the National Highway network, according to a PMO statement.
