Panel established to look into Telangana school food poisoning incident

A probe into the incident involving pupils from a social welfare residential school in Bhuvanagiri becoming sick after consuming tainted food was ordered by the secretary of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Schools Society on Sunday.

An inquiry committee led by the joint secretary of the society, Anantalakshmi, together with OSD Prashanthi and Vigilance Officer Hussain, has been created by the secretary to carry out a thorough investigation into the occurrence and provide a report. As soon as the report is received, the secretary promised that prompt and appropriate action would be taken against the relevant parties.

Recall that on Saturday, the principal and staff of the social welfare residential school hurried fifteen of the kids who had become unwell from consuming tainted food to the Bhuvanagiri Government Area Hospital. According to authorities, the pupils also received the necessary medical attention. Two Class 6 children, Prasanth and Krishna, were among those who had been unwell, and their condition was becoming worse, so they were sent to the Miracle Hospitals in Uppal.

They received emergency medical attention. According to authorities, Krishna is being monitored by physicians at the same hospital and is reportedly making progress. For more specialized care, Prashanth was sent to Rainbow Hospitals in Jubilee Hills.

Due to a known cardiac condition, Prashanth was taken to the intensive care unit and is now being ventilated.

That is to say, the Osmania Hospital is treating two of the remaining thirteen pupils, while the Bhuvanagiri Area Hospital is treating the other eleven.

According to officials, the two pupils’ conditions are currently stable. The remaining pupils were returned to school in the meantime as their health had improved.
