People are losing faith in CM: BRS leader

Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader Ponnala Lakshmaiah predicted on Monday that the Congress will finish far behind in the Lok Sabha polls and that the public is losing faith in Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

Speaking at a news conference held at Telangana Bhavan, Lakshmaiah said that the controversial remarks will not help the populace. “The Chief Minister refers to BRS as a lifeless serpent. There is a 1.85% vote discrepancy inside our party, which has 60 lakh members. In what way is the BRS a dead snake? People have lost faith in him since he uses derogatory language while campaigning, despite his assurances that the Lok Sabha elections were a referendum, according to Lakshmaiah. In the 100 days after it took office, he questioned how many promises the Congress administration had really kept.

According to Lakshmaiah, Revanth Reddy could not stand the popular backing for BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao during the roadshows. “KCR has a track record of repeatedly winning elections for the Assembly and Parliament. Nine times as an MLA and five times as an MP, KCR has won. KCR has won 14 elections to the Legislative Assembly so far. KCR served as CM twice, a union minister, a deputy speaker, and a minister thrice. Lakshmaiah said, “KCR and Revanth Reddy are not comparable.
