People are seen jumping from buildings when a fire breaks out at a mall in Greater Noida
On Thursday afternoon, a huge fire broke out at a shopping center in Greater Noida West, Uttar Pradesh. People on the third floor, where the fire is thought to have started, were seen in horrifying videos jumping out of their windows to save their lives.
The mall is in Gaur City 1, which is a well-known living society in the bigger part of Noida, which is Delhi’s sister city. It has many shops, food courts, restaurants, a gym, a club, and hundreds of apartments.
In a video that went viral and was shared by the news agency PTI, someone can be heard yelling “Kud jaa, kud jaa!” (Jump, jump!) as someone jumps out of a building in the middle of a big ruckus.
Fire trucks were sent to the mall quickly. No one has been hurt, as far as we know. We are waiting for more information.
