Poonch Attack: The Army Releases Drawings of Two Terrorists from Pakistan and Offers a Rs. 20 Lakh Reward

The Indian Army unveiled drawings of two terrorists from Pakistan on Monday and offered a ₹20 lakh reward for information that leads to their capture. These people are thought to be the ones behind the recent assault on an Indian Air Force vehicle in the Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir.

Five air force men were injured when militants assaulted a convoy on Saturday night in the Poonch area, close to Shahsitar. They were taken to Udhampur’s Command Hospital by evacuation. Sadly, IAF Corporal Vikky Pahade was one of those who was shot and died.

Four terrorists, according to sources, carried out the assault. At around 6:15 p.m., the soldiers were making their way back to their base at Sanai Top when the convoy was ambushed in the Surankote region, close to Shahsitar.

The IAF sent their sympathies to Pahade’s family on Sunday via a post on X.

“The brave Corporal Vikky Pahade, who gave the ultimate sacrifice in Poonch Sector in the service of the nation, is saluted by the CAS Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari & all Indian Air Force personnel,” the Indian Air Force said.

According to the authorities, the search operation included the use of Army Para Commando squads. There hasn’t been any “contact” with the terrorists so far.

This year’s first significant incident in the Jammu area has resulted in the detention of many people for interrogation in relation to the assault.
