Posters criticising Kejriwal in Jalandhar

AAP officials were on route to Mohali on Friday to participate in a state-level demonstration against Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest, while BJP members were posting anti-Kejriwal posters across the metropolis.

The images of Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and Satyendra Jain resembled movie posters. The posters were displayed across the city, notably on Circular Road and at Mai Hiran Gate’s bazaars.

“While all others accused in the liquor policy scam had been arrested, its kingpin had been evading arrest by not appearing before the Enforcement Directorate even after nine summons,” said Ashok Sareen Hicky, the party’s district general secretary in Jalandhar. So, once Kejriwal was taken into custody, our staff decided to have these posters displayed.

AAP MP Sushil Rinku, Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh, and every AAP MLA from the region departed for Mohali this morning to show support for the Chief Minister of Delhi on his apprehension.

The 500 workers that MLAs Raman Arora and Sheetal Angural stated they had brought from their constituencies drove to participate in the demonstration. “Today’s protest was just the start of a series of our protests,” Balkar said. These will keep going like a wave.

Tomorrow is Bhagat Singh’s martyrdom day, and because party officials are already occupied with demonstrations and the election code is now in effect, it is probable that the party would forego hosting a program at Khatkar Kalan. There isn’t a scheduled event here as of yet. If any leaders show up, it will simply be to pay their respects before departing. Whatever the case, AAP halqa in-charge of Nawanshahr Lalit Mohan Pathak said, “CM Bhagwant Mann was here on March 16 too on the occasion of the completion of the second year of the party in power in the state.”
