Priyanka Gandhi addressed Himachal Pradesh Congress leaders: You have to make Mandi a difficult race for Kangana Ranaut

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, general secretary of the Congress, has instructed Congress leaders in Himachal Pradesh to make the Lok Sabha election in Mandi fierce and to refuse to allow the BJP a landslide victory at any cost.

Actor Kangana Ranaut has been nominated by the BJP for the Mandi seat.

The Tribune has learned that Priyanka said Kangana Ranaut has to be defeated at a late-saturday meeting with Himachal Congress leaders.

In an effort to give the BJP a difficult opponent in the Mandi poll, the Congress has officially nominated minister and current MLA Vikramaditya Singh.

Vikramaditya attended the meeting that Priyanka had at Rajiv Shukla, the Congressman responsible for Himachal Pradesh.

According to those with knowledge of the conversations, Priyanka was adamant about keeping Kangana from visiting Parliament.

“Kangana could be a nuisance in Parliament,” Priyanka was cited by one source as saying.

Kangana has been criticizing the Gandhi family in public and said on a TV show that Priyanka and Rahul are not suited for politics and that Sonia, their mother, is pressuring them to continue.

Priyanka said that she would be stationed at her Shimla home for the last two weeks of the election, campaigning for the party’s candidates in the state.

The last round of voting for the four Himachal Lok Sabha seats is scheduled on June 1.

Additionally, according to sources, Priyanka instructed the Himachal Pradesh leaders to “save the state government and ward off any challenge from the BJP.”

She remarked that countermeasures were required to address the volatility caused by the recent BJP membership of disqualified Congress MLAs.

Priyanka addressed the leaders, saying, “People of Himachal must be told this is not the culture of the state.”

The Congress has not yet announced their nominees for the state’s four Lok Sabha seats.

The notion of nominating senior politician Asha Kumari in Kangra is being considered; MLA Vinod Sultanpuri, Dyal Pyari, and Amit Nanda are on the Shimla panel. MLA Satpal Raizada is on the Hamirpur panel.

Priyanka, who has been working with the state administration ever since the BJP won a member in the Rajya Sabha, stated today: “I had meetings with all of the Congress Party’s leaders in Himachal Pradesh. Their cooperation, diligence, will to win the elections, and commitment to the people make me proud.”

She said that the BJP’s empire of falsehoods, greed, and terror is on the one hand.

Politics on the one hand seeks to subvert democracy in order to gain control over institutions and financial resources. Congress, on the other hand, is determined to work patiently, courageously, and truthfully for the people. I really believe that the public will stand with us and that the truth will prevail. Salute Himachal. Priyanka exclaimed, “Hail India,” on X.

The Himachal Congress Coordination Committee convened yesterday at Mallikarjun Kharge, the party president’s home.

The impending Assembly bypolls to six seats, in which the BJP has fielded disqualified Congress dissidents, including former minister Sudhir Sharma who just joined the saffron ranks, would be the first litmus test for the Congress’s cohesion and strength.
