Punjab poll schedule is released

Punjab’s election schedule was released today by Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sibin C.

According to the CEO, the election notice will appear in the gazette on May 7. May 14 is the deadline for submitting nominations, and May 15 is when they are reviewed. Up to May 17, candidates may withdraw their candidacy.

In Punjab, the election day is set for June 1 and will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

According to Sibin C, nominations for Deputy Commissioners and Returning Officers in all Constituencies may be submitted between 11:00 AM and 3:30 PM on any of the days from May 7–14 that have been announced, except public holidays. Form 2A is where the nomination documents must be submitted.
