Punjab School Principals are sent to Singapore in two more batches for training

On Saturday, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains sent out two further groups of 60 school principals for a training program in Singapore.

Speaking to a group, Bains emphasized the state’s extensive training programs both domestically and internationally to improve the professional capacities of the instructors and expose them to international best practices in educational institutions.

According to a statement from the minister, the state government has successfully educated four batches of principals since February, each of which had 30 to 36 participants.

These training sessions were held in association with respected institutions like PAI and NIEI in Singapore.

According to him, the curriculum placed a strong emphasis on educating instructors modern administrative and educational abilities, including mentoring and creative teaching techniques.

With the most recent batches going to Singapore, there are now 200 school principals and 100 headmasters who have received training from reputable foreign institutions, according to Bains.

Earlier, 100 headmasters attended training at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, while 140 principals participated in overseas training programs in Singapore.

He said, “These teachers are now better able to guide their organizations toward excellence and offer a supportive learning environment for the students.”

The present training batches, which are the fifth and sixth groups of 60 principals chosen via an open online platform solely on the basis of merit, were emphasized by the minister as being crucial.

He said that the NIEI Singapore would provide these educators with specialized training with an emphasis on effective leadership, community participation for school growth, and upholding school discipline.

According to Bains, Punjab is aggressively attempting to expose its elementary school instructors to the rest of the world.

He continued by saying that the elementary school teachers will soon go to Finland, known for its top-notch educational system, for instructional purposes.

Sukhbir Badal, Harsimrat Badal, and Bikram Majithia of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), and Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Partap Singh Bajwa, and Pargat Singh of the Congress, according to Bains, “failed” to improve the state’s educational situation during their respective terms in office.

He said that they are now misinforming the people of Punjab about government schools.

“Even though these parties had been in control since independence, many schools lacked a border wall as of this point. The minister said, “And right now they are disseminating lies about the School of Eminence, saying that these institutions were founded under their watch.
