Rahul Gandhi interacts with farmers in Haryana and has meals and conversations with them

Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, said on Sunday that farmers are India’s strength and that many problems in the nation can be fixed by hearing and understanding their viewpoint. On July 8, Gandhi posted a video on social media describing his visit to the paddy fields in the Madina hamlet in Sonepat, Haryana.

In the roughly 12-minute YouTube video, he interacts with farmers and their families, plowing the fields, planting paddy seedlings, and eating a meal with them while sitting on a string cot.

In Hindi, he tweeted, “Farmers are the strength of India,” along with a little excerpt from the film. “I met Sanjay Malik and Tasbir Kumar, two farmers, in Sonepat, Haryana. They have been farming together for many years and have been great friends since childhood.

We worked in the fields with them, seeded rice, operated a tractor, and had several conversations. The village’s female farmers treated us with love and respect, providing us with home-cooked meals as well. Indian farmers are sincere and prudent; they are aware of the hard work they put in and respect their rights. They assert their right to requests for MSP and insurance when necessary, and they stand hard against black laws when necessary. Many of the nation’s issues may be resolved if we pay attention to them and comprehend their viewpoint, Gandhi is heard stating.

Gandhi was asked a question during the chat by a lady who said, “You have been asking about us, so tell us about yourself.” The leader, 53 years old, said, “I am from Delhi.” The Congress politician frankly said, “I do not have a home, the government stole it, when the ladies asked him to tour them around Delhi and his own house.

The Congress also said on Twitter that “farmers have a huge contribution to uniting India” and that “their ‘tapasya’ does not get the respect it deserve.” Farmers’ “tapasya” is the food that is served on every plate in the nation.

Rahul Gandhi spoke with farmers and agricultural workers as part of his Bharat Jodo Yatra, according to Congress national secretary Jairam Ramesh, who shared Gandhi’s video. “He spent time with them, listened to them, and understood their struggles, problems, and grievances,” the speaker said.

“The farmers described to him the issues they confront. why farming is now more difficult as ever. Who is benefited by the privatization of the farm industry, and how is inflation troubling them? They claimed to experience some dreams as well. They also want to ensure that their kids get a top-notch education. But the administration isn’t offering any assistance, Ramesh said in a Hindi tweet.

“We honor the agrarian community’s and farmers’ struggles. We have no doubt that agriculture is the foundation of our nation. All they have to say should be respectfully and humbly heard,” he remarked.
