Sajjala: Naidu weeping like a crocodile at the mistreatment of elderly people

General Secretary of YSRC Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu was crying crocodile tears over the mistreatment of pensioners after he obstructed the distribution of social security pensions to recipients at their residences.

Sajjala joked that the administration did not need the TDP chief’s direction hours after Naidu insisted that the State government pay pensions to recipients at their homes rather than putting the funds into their bank accounts.

“The mistreatment of old folks who had to trek in the heat to get their pensions is your fault. Thirty-two old individuals have died, and you are to blame,” Sajjala said. He further attributed the disaster on Daggubati Purandeswari, the head of the BJP State branch, and Pawan Kalyan, the president of the Jana Sena Party.

Sajjala said that even if the door-to-door pension distribution is suspended for a month, people would still have faith in Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. “Those who do good for others are loved by the public, and volunteers have earned the public’s affection.” People would remember the one who is providing the benefit rather than the one who gives it, he said, adding that it was your (Naidu) incorrect assumption that they would sway votes prior to elections. The YSRC leader further said that Naidu used a benami to obstruct the door delivery of pensions because he was afraid of retaliation.

Sajjala said, “Naidu is demanding that 1.20 lakh secretariat staff be used for disbursing pensions at their doorsteps as the first of the month approaches.”
