Seven Decades of Love: Touching Ceremony Sees Elderly Couple Reaffirm Their Vows

Hyderabad: In Tanda village in Nellikudur mandal, Mahabubabad, Telangana, an elderly couple, Gugulothu Lalamma (75) and Samida Naik (80), remarried in a touching ceremony that encapsulated the spirit of love lasting through the years. The couple, who were married for the first time seven decades ago, has four boys and one daughter.

Their grandkids expressed a sincere desire to see their grandparents get married, full of love and expectation. Thus, the whole Tanda village gathered to commemorate the marriage of this couple on the occasion of their youngest grandson Yakub’s birthday.

The tale of Gugulothu Lalamma and Samida Naik serves as a poignant reminder that love is ageless and has the capacity to withstand the passage of time. Their renewed vows serve as a tribute to the eternal power of love and the happiness it can bring to people.

Another inspiring story that went viral on the internet was about a 103-year-old freedom warrior who married a lady half his age and started a new chapter in his life. In the Itwara area of Bhopal, Habib Nazar and 49-year-old Firoz Jahan exchanged vows at a nikah ceremony.

Nazar got married for the third time because he was lonely following the death of his second wife. Nazar and Jahan tied the knot in January of this year, although their union did not get much publicity prior to that.

Nazar’s matrimonial quest takes him across many Indian states. His first marriage took place in Nashik, Maharashtra, while his second marriage took place in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. This is Firoz Jahan’s second marriage as well. Like Nazar, she had lost her first spouse and was left living alone. Empowered by empathy and a feeling of obligation, she consented to marry the 103-year-old liberation warrior.
