Smriti Irani wants the names of seven railroad stations in her Amethi district altered

Smriti Irani, a local MP and the minister of women’s and children’s development for the union, has sent a letter to Ashwini Vaishnav, the minister of railways, requesting that seven railroad stations in her district be given new names.

Irani requested that the names of the seven railroad stations in her parliamentary district of Amethi be changed in a letter dated October 9 to the railway minister.

She suggested renaming Kasimpur Halt as Jais City, Guru Gorakhnath Dham as the name of the Jais railway station, and Swami Paramahamsa as the name of the Bani railway station. Irani said that the names of Misrauli and Nihalgarh railway stations should be changed to Maa Kalikan Dham and Maharaja Bijli Pasi, respectively.

In addition to this, the names of Warisganj and Akbarganj railway stations should be changed to Amar Shaheed Bhalesultan and Maa Ahorva Bhavani Dham, respectively.
