Stalin: January 2026 will see the opening of the Kalaignar Library in Kovai

The Muthamizh Arignar Kalaignar Library and Science Centre, which was mentioned in the budget, would open in Coimbatore in January 2026, according to Chief Minister MK Stalin.

During the budget debate, BJP member Vanathi Srinivasan asked a question, to which the chief minister replied, “This government will fulfill all the promises.” The planned openings of the Jallikattu theater in Alanganallur, the multi-super specialty hospital in Guindy, the Kalaignar Library in Madurai, etc.

Stalin did, however, take a jab at the central BJP administration for its persistent delays in establishing the AIIMS in Madurai, despite the fact that the facility’s foundation was laid many years ago. “Vanathi Srinivasan, you will get the proper invitation. You need to attend the inauguration as well,” he said.
