Survey: What Will Be The BJP’s Results in UP and Assam for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections? These Are My Predictions

The BJP has won both of the previous Lok Sabha elections handily, which ultimately aided the saffron party in forming a stable central administration.

Is the BJP able to build on its successful campaign in the largest state in India in 2024? The most recent opinion survey says that the answer is yes. The BJP will do well not just in Uttar Pradesh but also in Assam.

The Federal-Puthiyathalaimurai-Apt 2024 Pre-Poll Survey predicts that in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP will win 78 of the 80 seats. This will be its best-ever showing in Uttar Pradesh if this turns out to be accurate.

From barely 10 in 2009 to 71 in 2014, the BJP’s share of the vote dropped to 62 in 2019. But in 2024, the saffron party plans to add 16 more seats to its total.

Based on forecasts, the BJP is expected to raise its share of the vote from 49.98 percent in 2019 to 54.33 percent. It is predicted that the Samajwadi Party will get 15.01 percent of the total votes, while the Congress will receive 14.51 percent.

The Federal study does, however, predict that Mayawati’s Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) would suffer the worst blow, with a major fall expected. It is anticipated that the BSP would win nothing, which would be a sharp decline of 10 seats, along with a 15% decline in vote share, falling from 19.43% to 4.30%.

The Assamese BJP’s Performance
The survey data indicates that the BJP will maintain its position of dominance in the North East. With 10 of the 14 seats expected to go to the BJP, the Congress will only have 4 seats. Compared to the BJP’s nine seats in 2019—the Congress controlled three seats—this represents a minor rise.

It should be mentioned that AIUDF and Independent candidates split the remaining seats.

Regarding the vote share, the study shows that both the Congress and the BJP have seen a 4% increase in vote share. But like many other NDA partner parties, the AGP is expected to see a sharp decline in its vote share, from 8.31% in 2019 to only 1.52 percent now.
