Three Bhopal-Delhi trains have been canceled due to maintenance at Jhansi Station; see dates and other information

Due to maintenance being done on platform number four of the Jhansi railway station, Indian Railways has canceled the operations of three significant trains that travel between Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal and Delhi, including the Bhopal Express, Shridham Express, and weekly train Singrauli-Nizamuddin Express. Between September 11 and September 28, Bhopal Express and Shridham Express have been canceled, while between September 17 and September 24, Singrauli-Nizamuddin Express will not run.

Trains have been canceled owing to repairs being made to platform number four of the Jhansi railway station, according to Subedar Singh, Public Relations Officer for the Bhopal Railway Division. He also said that if the railway officials deem it essential, one or two trains’ routes would also be adjusted.

These three trains carry up to 2,400 people between Bhopal and Hazrat Nizamuddin, and it is possible that some of them would have delays getting there on time. All involved parties have received communications from the railways informing them that all ticket payments for these three trains would be reimbursed to all passengers.

On Sunday, torrential rain in the area caused dirt beneath the track near Hetampur station to wash away, preventing a serious train collision on the Jhansi-Delhi line. Several trains’ operations were also suspended. The railway section’s patrolling employees saw that the track was hanging in the air and that the earth underneath it was rapidly deteriorating. He used a red flag to stop the Karnataka Express, which was headed from Bengaluru to Delhi, and stop the locomotive engineer.
