Today, PM Modi will open the campuses of three IIMs and lay the groundwork for the permanent campuses of three IITs

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the campuses of three IIMs, in Jammu, Bodh Gaya, and Visakhapatnam, on Tuesday. This will provide a significant boost to the education industry and serve as the cornerstone for several projects valued at over Rs 13,000 crore.

A permanent campus of IIT Bhilai, IIT Tirupati, IIT Jammu, and IIITDM Kancheepuram; the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS), a trailblazing center for advanced technology skill training in Kanpur; and two campuses of Central Sanskrit University in Devprayag, Uttarakhand, and Agartala, Tripura, are among the projects that will be dedicated.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, “The prime minister will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stone of several projects worth about Rs 13,375 crore—a significant step towards upgrading and developing education and skilling infrastructure across the country.”

Additionally, he will officially open 20 new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) and 13 new Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs) facilities nationwide. Five KV campuses, one NV campus, and five multipurpose halls for NVs throughout the nation would all have their foundation stones laid by Prime Minister Modi, the statement said.

At a public event at Jammu’s Maulana Azad Stadium, PM Modi will dedicate, inaugurate, and lay the foundation stone of the campuses and structures.
